How Europeans where able to explore
They invented new technology which helped them explore easier. The new technology made them able to do things they weren't able to do before like sail into the wind and guide a boat in the current.
consequences
Three consequences (effects) from European arrival where diseases because lots of Europeans and Native Americans where getting sick from diseases, there where some new animals brought over like the pigs and the horses, and lots of new plants where introduced like potatoes and corn (maize).

A major advancement was the triangular sail because it aloud them to sail against the wind, and also the rudder which help them steer against the current.
